I would like to tell you about us at Triple R Horse Ranch. My sister and I have had horses since we were kids. Our Grandmother Bessie Blanie trained horses for The Ringling Brother Circus and had a riding stable in Saugatuck Mi. in the 1930’s. You could say that horses have made us who we are today. My sister has a large family (7) and some 20+ years ago, she put her oldest in the 4-H program in BarryCounty. She has been the club leader for the Yeckley 4-H club in BarryCounty for 25 years now. My wife grew up with horses as a child and loves to ride.She would ride every day if she could. She also loves to work a horse in the arena and can do it for hours without getting bored. I myself 10 minutes and I’m done. At Triple R Ranch we specialize in trail horse of all breads however gaited trail horse are what I love to ride so there are always several nice gaited horse for sale. When I break a colt as soon as I can stop him and steer him some out we go on the trails following another horse. My sister also does pony rides and contracts with a local YMCA to provide riding lessons, horses and ponies. Many of the horses we have to sell have been used in these programs. I myself love to start younger horses or to fix problem horses. I have found over the years that there are few horses born with a behavior problem they have picked it up from someone that owned them. Once I get them riding good on the trails, my wife can have them I am looking for a new project. With so many horses (30) we have to sell some so we can get some more. We are the Triple R Horse Ranch; because we believe the 3 R’s make a good horse great and a poor horse good, I have yet to be proven wrong. If you don’t know what the 3 R’s are to making a good horse great I will tell you. Ride them, ride them, and ride some more, take them in lakes in streams show them everything you can, smack the traffic signs when you go by, yes it may make them jump the first time but the 100th time you do it, they won’t even flinch. The dog you will see in a lot of the pick’s he loves to be right there. That is my dog Cherokee, spoiled to death, even goes to work with me. Also helps with the horses dodging in and out on trail rides. From time to time we will put up saddles, once in a while even a horse trailer for sale. Most time if you are starting out and need a saddle and tack we should have a saddle to sell you. There are more horses also so keep checking.
